Hey guys, its been awhile since we have had a decent melb 'cruise'.. if ever?

Date: 17th of March (Sat) (depending on members availablitly)

Time: Meet at KFC Nunawading at 9am sharp (Cnr Springvale road & Maroondah hwy, melways ref. 48 F9)

Cruise route/location: McKenzie av. Healesville (Maroondah Reservoir Park, melways ref. 270 K10)


Cost is free and although this is a BBQ area I think it may be better if people bought a cut lunch for themselves instead of 20 people standing around a urinated on BBQ with 300 snags. (Not suggesting that Healsville folk urinate on BBQs).

It won't be easy to get lost.. the cruise is just all the way down Maroondah hwy till we hit Healsville. We don't get to cruize often so the people that are keen, including myself, will drive on from Healsville through the black spur to Marysville and then down the reefton spur which will pop us out near Warburton. I will note that the black spur usually has a bit of traffic flowing through it, although, the reefton spur does not.. and it is not a walk in the park at all and is windy as all hell. It is suggested that you have stiff springs and balls of steel (balls of steel not compulsory).

So fill your tanks and bring some mates.. hope to see you all out there.
I'd say wash your rides but..... the car park in Healsville is gravel..

That weekend is the Shannons Historics and Phillip Island. The very reason I live is to attend that so I'm out.

I'm with the Godfather of melb though, saturday 17th would be ideal I reckon.

Hmm it always works this way huh.. one person can come one weekend and the other can't and visa versa.. Well the date is flexible thats why I put 'depending on availability'..

17th is still good for me, but it IS on the same day as qualifying for the F1

....i wonder if the F1 commitee would let us do a couple of hot laps of Albert Park - that would be unreal!!!!!

i work opposite albert park and did a lap the other day.

mainly cos i got trapped as they closed off some of the exits. still it feels awesome cos all the barracades/stands/fencing is up.
