Donations towards the club will not only help the club to grow and form a larger userbase but also give you some new features on the website!
Donating will allow you to insert image attachments into posts without having the need to host them up on another hosting service. You will also have a donating member mini logo added underneath your avatar on each post. Other features may be added later on down the track that donating members will only have access to.
Donating doesn't cost an arm and a leg or even your right kidney. Its only $10 a year and this donation will only go towards the club, in most cases towards hosting for the website and towards the website software.
How To Donate-> Click
My Controls above
-> On left menu under 'Options' choose

Just click here to start the donate process! If you have any problems with the system or questions please post in here, no chit chat is permitted in here.

well i've taken the step and donated my $10 to the continuation of the club. The way i look at it, if you invest $10 of your money into the Starlet Club to ensure it goes on - it could save you a lot more money down the track! We have many experienced technically minded people on here. I've been into modifying these cars for a few years now ( 4 i think) and have learned alot over that time. The knowledge we share with the users of this site can literally save them hundreds of dollars.
I can remember sometime around a year ago, a particular member said his car was making bugger all boost and felt like it was going nowhere. Many suggestions were put forward, and he was going to change the turbo to another CT9, but contemplated getting a TD04 kit or similar. With a few questions from me, and some answers from him, i concluded that it was his catalytic convertor that had caved in, effectively putting exhaust backpressure thru the roof, keeping the turbo from spooling up hard enough to get boost. I think a new cat convertor cost him about $200 fitted and away he went. I know it saved him alot of money in the long run and he was very grateful.
We have alot of experience here in moding and repairing these engines and cars, and there's really no secrets here - if we can help someone else avoid making the same mistake as another person its all been worthwhile.
I guess the other thing is when we look forward into maybe getting discounts at certain places for club members, your $10 investment will pay for itself! Remember, we are a non-profit group, the money isnt going into anyone's pockets, its being used to keep this great group going for years to come, and maybe start it on the path to being registered..........

I just made my payment too. Damn if i counted all the hours i've spent on this fourm (and all its incarnations) it's one of the cheapest forms of entertainment I can think of....not to mention all the benefits I've already received from help, gaining mates and scoring the odd bargain.
Do it guys,
Brendon.

I wanna donate but I don't have a credit card - I believe paypal requires a credit card to make donations?!?
I would have thought that we could donate without needing a credit card?

Saves me going through double the amount of emails

I havent been a member for a real long time(i joined up about the time the new forums were up and running) But the amount of benifits the clubs had is definately worth the $10. The instant responses you get when you post in the tech section have really helped me alot, plus theres the bargains from the fs section.
Now im not here to point fingers but you do seem to be against many things the club does ivan. As a wise old hippy once said "Its all good mannnnnnnn"
Thanks

Kmart Racing officially supports the club
swanny
5 Sep 2005, 10:51 PM
Damn straight

To show our support of the club, Team Kmart Racing would like to offer you a 15% discounts on all merchandise in all Kmart stores across Australia*
As for seeing where the money goes, basically I dont really mind. If you feel it necessary to show people exactly how the money is spent or whatever, thats cool. But personally, the club itself, and how it has been and how it is changing over time is plenty enough evidence to me that the money is being put to good use.
Hell, 10 bucks? Have a couple less drinks when youre out next Saturday night and youve come up even

In all seriousness, for the amount of benefit that you get from the club, Im positive that being a donating member of the club is more than warranted.
Luke
*For the duration of this weeks storewide 15% off sale. Excludes cigarettes, iPods, computer game consoles and gift cards. No further discounts apply.

I'm having dramas trying to donate...
I have a PayPal account and it's asking me to add a credit card to this- I put in the details of my credit card and it's telling me that my card is already connected to the PayPal account.
Then my only options are to Cancel or Add the card- which repeats the cycle.
Help!

How do I do this? I have absolutely NO idea when it comes to anything to do with computers etc.
I just wanna give you some money...
