Hey ppl i havent been on the site for a while but i just thought i would throw up a thread to get ideas and suggestions for a cruise in august.

im tyryin to get more cruises happening so jus throw up some ideas and we can all decide on which location and route is best.

Mt Glorious is quite a nice drive. i dont have much spare time but i would be interested in attending if it gets put together.

ill watch this space. Best cruise ive been on started at about 10am, drove for an hour or so, stopped had a bit of a bbq then everyone went for little drives around that area and just chilled out.

Jamboree is in August.(i think).. why not organise a cruise for everyone to meet up and cruise there together.... just an idea...

i thought jambo was in sept but dont quote me on it. i havent been up thru glarous or nebo before. woul be fun in the new gt hhe

well i rekon we should do nebo glorious. im from toowoomba soi can oganise a meeting place easy for the toowoomba crew. seen a few ppl gettin around in ep91s wih kits and exhausts and stuff dunno if they r members or not but im thinkin bout leavin a note on their windscreen wipers rsomething for them to get on here and be awesome.

it would prob be better during the day fro the ppl from towoomba because we have a fair way to drive but i spose it depends on which day it is. saturday we couldo night time but prob not sunday because it will take a while for us to get back and we all start work at evil times in the morning.

we can head over as a group from toowoomba and meet up with ppl on the way maybe. members from bris could probably organise some spots to meet up. idont know much about brisbane lol

well im good for 2 weekends a month (get my daughter for the other 2) and i rekon sunday durig th day would be good. i havent been there before andi think it would bebetter if i got to know the road during day time. other wise i could end up like brad when he went up there in his ep91 and mated with the wall.

the best time for me would be the 9th. jambouree is on the 29th and 30th i just realised

can some one from brisbane organise some meeting places for ppl from different areas an where the best spot would be fo every one to meet up as a group so we can all travel as a pack.

members are allowed to come if they dont have a starlet or their starlet isnt running or watever. its mainly a cruise for ppl to get to know each other and stuff like that. as well as hav ppl get to test out their latest modifications andjust general fun.

ill do up some maps and stuff for where we could go and maybe a bbq lunch or something along those lines as well.

a walkie talkie is almost a must it makes it more interesting and helps prevent ppl taking the wrongturn if they get cut off from the group by some old man doin 40km/h.

well we're up for ideas. theres not much out this way unless we meet up at toowoomba and go up thru ravensbourne and thru esk and up to the sunshine coast but from memory its not te best of roads but its a nice drive, plenty of windys and open straights. even if its a cruise from toowoomb up thr there and to the glass house mountains.

im sure we can all agree on a destination and route but if u guys hav ideas throw them in

the run through esk over to the glass house mountains aint bad. stop in at the glass house mountains for a bbq lunch, then head to te sunny coast. then from there i am stumped.

hey yea that sounds good, im from up that way and that road is really good,

plus the twisty parts up there through the trees are really good. plus the speed limit is 80 and from experience its really hard to get over that speed in most parts so limits the chance of getting fined, ill have a good look at a route.

i love the glass house mountain route idea!

i like that idea opindown, but for me and other bris peeps i doubt that we would meet at gatton but we could meet at caboolture and continue from there. looks like a good route.

only problem i can see is that its 7 hrs which is more than likely gonna be like 10+ you members from toowoomba will have to leave heaps early. plus we might have to leave out the Bris/redcliff part?? wait till we get some more opinion

i agree tho we should commit to a route asap and get some final numbers, i still think the dam is the best spot for camping, from experience its a great spot.

well for me gatton is quite closer than caboolture

i think the reddy part sounds nice but its quite a big trip, not sure what time we'd end up getting there? we could have lunch at maroochydore/caloundra plenty of beach side places to have a bbq/fish n chips etc

i can only do about a 1/2 day cruise, cant really justify a full day of not doin anything else!

i think that if u cant stay all day you could cut out the last part (redcliff part), maybe we should just breakup on the southbound trip on the highway, but if some of us want to continue we can head to redcliff. there for everyone can go there separate ways. maybe stop at roys rd or bells creek like the first idea, to see what everyone wants to do.

so all the people from toowoomba and out that way meet at gatton and the rest of us meet at caboolture then we go from there??

same here, certainly not a full day...

caboolture is a hell of a long way for the toowoomba members to meet. it is about 4 hours from my last trip there. so if we are meeting at caboolture i am out and i think the other toowoomba members would be out as well. to get there at a time to enjoy the cruiz before it gets dark we would have to leave toowoomba at 4am. I dont know about anyone else but there is no way in hell that i will be getting out of bed to go on a cruiz at 4am. hints why i suggested the gatton meet. best we could probably do is meet at goodna. it is a pretty good meeting point.

really? your bumper seemed to get along well with the guard rail jk but yeh somewhere else could be cool. hopefully not as bumpy as the last one please

well i dont really care where we going it was just a suggestion, as long as it has some fun roads and some places to stop im keen. u wanna make a route that will be suitable for the you guys out at toowoomba and still suitable for the bris crew.

i dont no really and roads out that way, what i put foward b4 was just good roads that i new, that are different to nebo/glourious.

I wasnt having a shot at you about the route. i was just stating that none of the toowoomba crew is going to be able to make it because of the pre cruiz 4-4.5 hour drive to get there. it is already 1.5hours to bris. it was a central meeting point that was used for alot of other cruizes i have been on with other clubs.

i was just saying that i dont no the roads very well just the ones iv been on previously, yea if we can get a good compromise that would be great.

hey Jarred.........ahhhhhh 3.5 to 4 hours is what it took my wife and i when we went to have a look at another car. when i have others in the car i dont drive like a dick head. i sat on the 110 to 120 kms all the way. thats not taking into accout the points that i was stuck behind trucks and the 3 road work locations along that road with the 15min traffic light waiting time.

Have a quick squiz on google maps. and the reason we take the 3 hours and 11 min option is because the others take fark loads longer due to traffic.

So yes it is still a long farking way from toowoomba to start a cruiz that a toowoomba member suggested. We are still asking for routes so we can get everyones opinions and ideas.

Rather than the Cruise, which I dont think many really want to do because of other commitments, and no one really wants to do a 7+ hour cruise, why dont we do the Dinner thing again like we did for New Years at Breaky Creek Hotel in Brisbane....
We can do a half assed cruise around Brisbane for 30min-1hr or what ever the fook you wanna do, and just do a meet & greet and Dinner at some resturant/pub etc. I think everyone would be up for that!

we can just make it a shorter cruise, a few hours instead of all day...

yea i rekon a shortish sort of cruise would be good. but we all have to agree on a decent meeting spot and route to suit every one because not everyone lives in brisbane. im willing to get up early but not if its sparra to go for a 3 hour drive just to start it

hey i just had a look at a new route, it looks like the only good roads are nebo and glourious to be acessable for all members,
but i was told that the somerset dam road is nice.

i think we can meet at the gap which is a 2 hr trip for the toowommba guys then we could go up to the lookout at nebo or any parking spot up there. then go through the last part through glourious then on to somerset.

for the people that live at toowoomba its a shorter trip home as u can see the roads on the way back. and for the bris peoples we can just do the reverse on the way back and also do the glourious run home.

i no we had moved on from nebo/glor but from the looks of it glasshouse is to far away for some. and at least we get to do the somerset trip, which iv heard is hectic fun.
